Waiting for the BEX

So, I took the feared BEX exam in Bengali on Thursday afternoon. I am now still waiting for a response from BEX. Sigh...

The Diplomat and a couple of his FSI friends have decided to go to NYC for the upcoming weekend, where we still own an apartment (anyone in the market for a 2-bedroom in NYC???), and paint the town red like only 40 year old married men with kids can. It will be so wild. OK, it won't--he actually asked me for suggestions what to do. Awesome.

  1. Did you sign an NDA when you took this language test? I don't think you're supposed to reveal anything about the details.

  2. No, I did not. Otherwise I would not have posted this.

  3. How difficult did you find the phone test? Just passed the OA and have a Russian test scheduled for 5/30. I was a Peace Corps volunteer in Ukraine and even majored in Russian, but this thing has me so nervous! Any advice?

Love the blog, by the way!
    Thanks,

  4. Adam, I have a stern FS warning to never ever discuss the damn language test. All I can is - study and prepare and do your darnest best! Let me know how it goes!

  5. No worries. Have been hitting the vocab pretty hard lately to brush up and driving my wife nuts by constantly badgering her to ask me questions in Russian (her native language). Fingers crossed!

  6. Russian test went well this morning. Without disclosing too much, I did feel confident coming out of it and never felt that I really faltered. Fingers crossed that it was enough effort for an S-2!
