This blog describes my journey as a Foreign Service officer, wife of another FSO and a mom to a boisterous, loving little boy.We began our careers with the State Department in 2010/2011 and left for our first post in Bangladesh in July 2011, where we currently serve. Our lives are a pleasant circus and we cannot believe just how lucky we are to live our dreams.
Congratulations! This is a big hurdle and you have made it. I just took my Bangla language exam today...so maybe, *if I pass*, I will join you, after clearances on the consular register!
ReplyDeleteActually, I know who gave you the exam! I hope it all went well! Let me know--oddly, I am thinking of taking the exam myself to substitute for Russian (very complicated story why).
ReplyDeleteCongrats! Awesome news!
ReplyDeleteYaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! That's awesome!
ReplyDeleteWoo-hoo! Congratulations!
ReplyDeletecongrats! I am sure the next problem also will get solved soon before u leave. the NY apt price will surely appreciate with the conomy looking up (and bound to, with ur joining the Federal service)!
ReplyDeleteOh wow- I guess the FS DOS world is a small circle when it comes down to people knowing people :) especially involving Bengali. Congrats again....I am waiting, very patiently to get my results next week.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I too received my clearance this week though not through such "divine" intervention. I'm likely to receive a call up for the May class as well. If you have a crystal ball that shows the upcoming bid list, I would surely join you!
ReplyDeleteWOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOO! About time. I am happy for you.
ReplyDeleteIt is time for the Weekly State Department Blog Round Up and you are on it!

ReplyDeleteWas never in doubt that your security clearance would be processed in time :) The apartment will also sell itself at the right time....
